Job Summary
PTA sought for outpatient orthopedics/sports at MedStar Health in Westminster/Taneytown area. Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, including treatment, training, and equipment recommendations. Documents patient care activities and communicates with supervising PT; manages schedules, discharge planning, and re-evaluations; administers modalities and delivers interventions within the treatment plan; involves patient and family in treatment and discharge planning; serves as a clinical instructor to students as appropriate; emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered care. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, PTA associate degree, Maryland/DC/VA licensure as applicable, and BLS CPR certification. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association’s BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
