Job Summary
Document patient care activities, treatment plans, and equipment needs under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Administer modalities, review historical information, and provide interventions within treatment plan limits. Manage accurate schedules, arrange re-evaluations, and complete discharge planning and follow-up care in collaboration with the supervising therapist. Recognize changes in patient condition to contribute to treatment plan modifications and provide verbal or written progress reports. Demonstrate effective time management, flexibility, and empathy to ensure frictionless patient access to care.
Required Qualifications
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- Demonstrated independent use of varied treatment approaches
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Physical Therapy Assistant school graduation
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
