Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services to patients, including treatment training, equipment recommendations, and safe administration of modalities under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Accurately document and charge for patient care activities, manage schedules for re-evaluations and discharge summaries, and collaborate with the supervising therapist to modify treatment plans based on patient condition changes. Involves patient and family in education and discharge planning while pursuing continuing education and serving as a clinical instructor. Requires PTA licensure in Maryland, DC, or Virginia, CPR certification, and an Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in Maryland District of Columbia (DC) and/or Virginia
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
- Professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
