Job Summary
Document patient care activities, treatment plans, and discharge summaries under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Administer modalities, provide interventions within treatment plan limits, and collaborate with team members on interdisciplinary approaches. Manage accurate schedules, arrange re-evaluations, and complete appropriate discharge planning while documenting ongoing communication with the supervising therapist. Recognize and document changes in patient conditions to contribute to treatment plan modifications. Pursue continuing education for professional growth and serve as a clinical instructor to assigned students as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapist Assistant
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated independent use of varied treatment approaches
- ability to work in a team environment
- graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associatedegree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association'sBLS (Basic Life Support)for Healthcare ProvidersCPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)certification
