Job Summary
Document patient care activities, communicate with the supervising physical therapist, and manage accurate schedules to ensure frictionless patient access. Administer modalities, provide interventions within treatment plan limits, and safely review historical information. Complete discharge planning, follow-up care, and equipment needs determinations while collaborating on interdisciplinary approaches. Recognize and document changes in patient conditions to modify treatment plans and contribute innovative ideas for patient treatment. Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge planning. Pursue continuing education for professional growth and serve as a clinical instructor to assigned students.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
