Job Summary
Document patient care activities, ongoing communication with the supervising physical therapist, and treatment plan modifications under state requirements. Administer modalities, provide interventions within treatment plan limits, and involve patients and families in education and discharge planning. Manage accurate schedules for re-evaluations and discharge summaries, while pursuing continuing education and serving as a clinical instructor. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure frictionless patient access and contribute innovative ideas for patient treatment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
