Job Summary
Document patient care activities, progress conferences, and discharge summaries under licensed physical therapist supervision. Administer modalities, provide interventions within treatment plan limits, and arrange re-evaluations while managing an accurate schedule. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team on equipment needs, follow-up care, and innovative treatment ideas. Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge planning. Maintain professional competency through continuing education and serve as a clinical instructor for students.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associate degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure required as deemed necessary for your specific location(s)
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
