Job Summary
Document and charge for patient care activities, manage an accurate schedule, and arrange re-evaluations and discharge summaries under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. Provide physical therapy services including reviewing historical information, administering modalities, and providing interventions within the treatment plan's limits. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to complete discharge planning, determine equipment needs, and modify treatment plans based on patient responses. Educate patients and families on treatment and discharge planning while pursuing continuing education for professional growth.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapist Assistant
- professional competency as a general practitioner in physical therapy
- demonstrated independent use of varied treatment approaches
- ability to work in a team environment
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant school
- Associatedegree as a Physical Therapist Assistant
- Maryland, District of Columbia (DC), and/or Virginia licensure
- American Heart Association's BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers
- CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification
