Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Conduct ongoing interdisciplinary patient assessments and provide services ordered by physicians in accordance with the plan of care. Act at the direction of the treating physical therapist while participating in the development and evaluation of care plans with patients and caregivers. Assist with documenting patient progress and response to treatment, and counsel families on goals to promote patient recovery. Communicate regularly with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care and discharge planning. Access personal health information necessary to fulfill these duties. Requires current Michigan licensure, two years of PTA experience, and active CPR certification.
