Job Summary
Perform selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction of a Physical Therapist. Document treatment progress, modify specific treatment plans based on patient status, and supervise Physical Therapy Technicians. Maintain almost constant one-on-one contact with patients while demonstrating respect, engagement, and compassion in all interactions. Requires current South Dakota licensure and an associate degree from an accredited program. Full-time role with 80-hour bi-weekly pay, Monday through Friday days, and competitive salary including health, dental, vision, and 401(k) benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree with satisfactory completion of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current South Dakota licensure as a physical therapist assistant
- Physical stamina requisite to lift, carry and/or otherwise move and manipulate the equipment used in evaluation and treatment
- Physical stamina requisite to standing, walking, stooping, pulling, pushing and lifting while transporting or transferring patients and performing treatments
- Visual, auditory and speech acuity requisite to verbal and written communication with patients, families, physicians and other persons involved with the patient's care
- Ability to work almost constant one to one contact with patients
- Ability to work intermittently light (exerting/lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, or a negligible amount constantly) to moderately heavy (exerting/lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently and 10 pounds constantly) or heavy (exerting/lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently and 20 pounds constantly)
