Job Summary
Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) sought for full-time, in-home home health care in San Antonio, TX. Provide skilled PTA services under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, implement Plans of Care, and treat orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions. Perform therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, transfer and functional mobility activities; apply manual techniques and non-complex modalities; educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety; monitor patient responses and report changes to the supervising PT. Complete Medicare-compliant documentation, uphold infection control standards, and participate in QAPI and performance-improvement initiatives. Flexible daytime schedule with autonomy in scheduling; in-home patient care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Texas
- Home Health experience (1 year required)
- HomeCareHomeBase (HCHB) experience (preferred)
- Current CPR certification
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and time-management skills
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance
