Job Summary
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in home health supporting Elara Caring’s mission to deliver care where patients live. Responsibilities include performing direct PTA services under supervision, adhering to the Plan of Care, educating patients and families on use of prosthetic/orthotic/assistive devices, and ensuring safe, quality care in the patient’s home. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program, current unrestricted PTA license, willingness to travel up to 50% within the coverage area, dependable vehicle and driver’s license, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. The role emphasizes collaboration with Physical Therapists, adherence to state guidelines, and delivering comprehensive in-home therapy services. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
- Ability to travel within branch/office coverage area (up to 50%)
- Dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, current auto insurance
- Able to frequently lift, push, pull, and position/move patients up to 50 pounds
