Job Summary
Provide direct physical therapy services under supervision to home health patients, following the Plan of Care established by the Physical Therapist; ensure quality and continuity of care, report changes back to the supervising PT, and adhere to state practice guidelines. Instruct patients and families in the use of prosthetic/orthotic/assistive devices and in-home therapy programs. Travel within the branch/coverage area is required (up to 50%); role involves lifting and transferring patients up to 50 pounds in a full-range-of-motion, potentially high-demand environment. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and an unrestricted PTA license for the state of work; 6+ months of PTA experience preferred. Reports to Branch Director/Clinical Manager or designee. Has competitive benefits and equal employment opportunity commitments.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
- 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
- Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area
- Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws
- Must be able and willing to travel 50%
