Job Summary
Develop direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards of practice while following the patient's established Plan of Care and reporting status changes to the supervising Physical Therapist. Incorporate patient care goals into therapy care and instruct patients and families on the safe use of prosthetic, orthotic, and assistive devices. Promote Elara Caring's philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care across the home setting. This physically demanding role involves lifting, pushing, pulling, and transferring patients up to 50 pounds, with potential for irregular hours and call rotations. Candidates must be able to travel 50% within the coverage area and possess a current, unrestricted PTA license.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program approved by the American Therapy Association
- Current, unrestricted PTA license valid for the state of work
- Able and willing to travel within branch/office coverage area
- Must have a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance in accordance with state laws
- Must be able and willing to travel 50%
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and support up to 50 pounds, including positioning or transferring patients and moving equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 6+ months experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred
