Job Summary
Assist in implementing treatment plans by providing direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modality applications. Monitor and document patient progress while reporting observations to Physical Therapists and educating patients and families on treatment protocols and self-care techniques. Accurately document treatments and responses in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with Physical Therapists, other healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care and effective treatment outcomes. Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant, or license eligible
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools
- Proficiency in using therapy equipment
- Proficiency in using relevant software
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
