Job Summary
Assist in providing physical therapy services under the direction of a PT by implementing individualized treatment plans to support patient goals focused on mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes while educating patients and families on exercises and safety techniques. Maintain accurate and timely documentation for all patient interactions. This 13-week contract placement in a Skilled Nursing Facility offers competitive hourly pay plus housing and travel stipends for travelers. New grads are welcome, provided they hold an active PTA license or can obtain one, along with current BLS/CPR and TB test results. The role emphasizes patient connection and professional growth within a supportive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Passionate physical therapy assistant
- Comfortable working in the SNF setting
- Quick learner who can adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
- A team player with a positive attitude and a heart for patient care
- Active PTA license/certification in the state of employment (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS/CPR Certification (or ability to obtain)
- Current TB test/results
- Current physical stating fit for duty (within past year)
