Job Summary
Provide physical therapy services planned and supervised by a qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient's Plan of Treatment. Confer regularly regarding patient progress, questions, and concerns. Assist with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, treatment areas, and department facilities. Report equipment problems to appropriate personnel. Communicate patient needs and progress to the Physical Therapist of record, assisting in securing special adaptive equipment to enhance rehabilitation. Maintain and submit patient treatment and billing documentation per company, facility, and regulatory requirements. Adhere to Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and professional practice standards. Attend internal staff development programs and obtain continuing education as required.
Required Qualifications
- Current unrestricted license as a Physical Therapist Assistant by state in which practicing
- Current Basic Life Support or cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification, in accordance state regulations
Desired Qualifications
- A minimum of one year's work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred
