Job Summary
Provide hands-on support to Physical Therapists by implementing treatment plans, documenting progress, and assisting residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility, and functional activities under PT supervision. Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and participate in care conferences to support mobility, strength, and functional outcomes in a skilled nursing setting. Supervisory/clerical duties include accurate documentation, participation in therapy-related activities, and ongoing professional development supported by licensure renewal and CEU assistance. Optional PRN or on-call opportunities at nearby facilities may be available.
Required Qualifications
- Active California Physical Therapist Assistant license in good standing
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- New graduates are welcome to apply; experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Knowledge of PDPM and basic documentation standards
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, resident-centered approach to care
