Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and the PT plan of care under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist. Deliver treatments efficiently while documenting progress notes, charging patients for services, and managing billing, correspondence, and file management. Assist with clinical education for physical therapist assistant students and ensure all documentation adheres to state board standards and Avera policies. Maintain confidentiality and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to promote patient recovery.
Required Qualifications
- Active license in the state of practice upon hire
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- Ability to communicate effectively with others
- Ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
- Physical Therapy Assistant - Licensing Board license
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Less than 1 year Related experience and/or training
