Job Summary
Under supervision, provide hands-on therapeutic interventions as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to residents in a long-term care setting. Implement treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist to improve mobility, strength, and coordination; perform therapeutic exercises and gait training; monitor and document resident progress; educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises and safety techniques; maintain accurate documentation per facility and regulatory standards; collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive resident care and promote functional independence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as PTA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
