Job Summary
Carry out treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility tasks. Assist residents in improving strength, range of motion, and overall physical endurance while monitoring and documenting treatments, progress, and responses in accordance with facility and regulatory standards. Communicate effectively with the supervising PT regarding residents' status, changes, and potential adjustments to care plans. Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers on exercise programs, mobility techniques, and safety measures. Adhere to facility policies, professional practice standards, and regulatory requirements, including documentation and infection control.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current and valid licensure/certification in the state of GA
- CPR certification
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
