Job Summary

The PTA assists the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing treatment plans for patients with injuries or physical impairments, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education. Responsibilities include applying modalities (heat, cold, ultrasound, electrical stimulation), instructing patients in use of assistive devices, monitoring and documenting patient responses, educating patients and families on home exercise programs, maintaining a safe treatment area, handling basic clerical tasks, and adhering to confidentiality and safety protocols. Requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and an active state PT license; PRN schedule with support duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited PTA program
  • Current physical therapy license for state of operation
  • Ability to multitask

  • Detail oriented and able to work in fast-paced environment

  • Provide annual verification of negative TB skin test
