Job Summary
Conduct one-on-one patient care sessions focusing on functional rehabilitation for adults with neurological injuries. Assist in exercise, ambulation, and the application of assistive devices per the treatment plan while collecting outcome measures and completing complex procedures. Educate patients, families, and health workers on selected procedures and participate in ongoing program evaluation. Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to the APTA Practice Act and Code of Ethics. Perform other duties as assigned. No evenings, weekends, or holidays required.
Required Qualifications
- Degree from a certified physical therapy assistant training program
- Current Physical Therapist Assistant certification and license to practice in state of application
- Minimum of 1 year experience preferred, related to treatment of complex neurological injuries
- Knowledge of complex neurologic injury and orthopedic rehabilitation techniques
- Current CPR certification
