Physical Therapist Assistant

Implement treatment plans by carrying out specific physical therapy interventions designed by the supervising Physical Therapist. Assist with patient mobility, including helping patients get in and out of bed, walk, use assistive devices, and perform exercises safely. Monitor patient responses to observe and report progress, pain levels, or adverse reactions during sessions. Educate patients on proper movement techniques and safety precautions for using walkers or crutches. Prepare equipment by setting up and cleaning therapy areas while ensuring all devices function properly. Work 8-hour day shifts at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, GA, under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients recover from surgery, illness, or injury.
