Job Summary
Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in evaluating patient status, observing treatments, and reporting progress. Implement individualized treatment plans including therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual techniques, and use of assistive devices. Set clear goals with patients, educate families on expectations, and maintain precise documentation for all visits and outcomes. Counsel patients and families while collaborating closely with an interdisciplinary team to carry out plans and prevent complications like falls. This direct hire role offers unlimited referral bonuses up to $1,000, optional PRN coverage at multiple locations, and full-time benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and CEU reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Active state Physical Therapist Assistant license
- Ability to assist the supervising Physical Therapist in evaluating patient status, observing during/after treatments, and reporting progress or changes
- Ability to implement individualized treatment plans as a PTA, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, manual techniques, stretching, and use of assistive devices like walkers or canes
- Ability to set clear goals with patients, educate them and families on expectations, and build understanding of their rehab process
- Ability to counsel patients and families while maintaining precise documentation for all visits, treatments, and outcomes
