Physical Therapist Assistant - Pediatrics

Provides physical therapy services as assigned by, and under the supervision of, a physical therapist in a pediatric setting. Responsibilities include assisting with treatment planning and evaluation procedures, utilizing modalities and therapeutic exercise, using assistive devices, and providing patient and family education. May participate in program development, professional meetings, clinical instruction for PTA students, and collaboration with an inter-disciplinary team to integrate physical therapy into overall patient care; demonstrates competency in software/hardware used in the department and adheres to standards of behavior and confidentiality. Must maintain licensure in Michigan and BLS certification; role involves supporting patient care, documentation, and ensuring quality and growth within the rehabilitation program.
