Physical Therapist Assistant

Conduct physical therapy directives under a licensed Physical Therapist, assisting residents with ambulation, stretching, strength training, and exercises to regain movement and control pain. Assess patient health through interviews, physical examinations, and therapy history reviews, while identifying care issues and recommending treatment options. Implement therapeutic procedures including manual exercises and instruction on using supportive devices like crutches and canes, and document all services in patient records. Maintain safe, clean environments by adhering to infection-control protocols and monitor treatment trends against production objectives. Requires current state PTA licensure, valid CPR certification, and six months of long-term care experience.
