Job Summary
Conduct daily physical therapy treatments by applying modalities, assisting with exercises, and monitoring patient progress under the supervision of a Physical Therapist. Deliver personalized care through patient education, equipment demonstration, and recovery counseling while maintaining strict confidentiality and a clean clinical environment. Complete EMR documentation and daily notes with co-signature, promptly reporting patient condition changes or operational issues to supervising staff. Manage caseloads to ensure thoughtful, individualized treatment delivery.
Required Qualifications
- PTA, Licensed to practice in the State of New York
- 3+ Years of experience as a licensed physical therapist assistant
- Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities
- Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
- Ability to delegate appropriate support care to non-licensed staff and serve as a resource in their training
