Physical Therapist Assistant - Otterbein Staffing Agency

PTA provides rehabilitative physical therapy to home health patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include performing physical therapy procedures in patients' homes, administering non-complex therapeutic exercises, massage, traction, heat, light, cold, water, and electrical modalities to patients with relatively stable conditions, and assisting and motivating patients to improve functional mobility and independence. The role involves teaching basic body mechanics to patients and families, instructing them in proper use and care of prosthetic devices and therapeutic appliances, observing and documenting patient progress, modifying the Home Health Plan of Treatment as authorized, participating in home health care conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings, and preparing timely clinical documentation and progress notes in accordance with policies and state/federal regulations. A minimum of twelve in-services annually is required.
