Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy interventions under the direction of a physical therapist to improve patient mobility and treat conditions limiting functional activities. Instruct and counsel patients on therapeutic exercises, while identifying individual needs to demonstrate compassion and empathy. Recommend treatment modifications ensuring patient progress, safety, and comfort by applying the latest research on function restoration and injury prevention. Complete accurate documentation, data collection, and performance reporting to support service delivery and patient status judgments. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain updated field knowledge through continued competence. Requires proven experience, licensure, and a BS degree in PTA.
Required Qualifications
- Proven working experience as Physical Therapist Assistant
- Excellent knowledge of physiology best practices and standards
- Hands on experience with therapeutic exercises, functional training and physical modalities
- Ability to communicate and instruct effectively
- Health care administration and documentation skills
- Licence to practice or relevant certification
- Associate or BS degree in PTA
