Job Summary
Implement individualized plans of care and document patient progress in compliance with state practice act standards while assisting Physical Therapists in delivering treatment. Communicate effectively with physicians, staff, patients, and families to provide education and respond to inquiries, ensuring adherence to OSHA, infection control, and safety regulations. Serve as an active member of the treatment team, mentoring Physical Therapy Technicians as needed, and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Requires current Arizona PTA licensure, one year of outpatient experience, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Current Arizona PTA licensure/certification (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, equipment, and treatment protocols
- Proficiency in OSHA standards, infection control, and compliance policies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to recognize safety risks and respond appropriately
- Competence with EMR systems and clinical documentation
- Physical ability to assist patients, lift up to 50 lbs., and perform kneeling, squatting, and overhead lifting as required
- Active Arizona PTA license (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Passing NPTE scores
