Job Summary

Assist the Physical Therapist in planning, developing, and carrying out treatment programs and procedures for residents. Writes observations of resident behavior and progress in Progress Notes. Maintains statistical records and departmental reports as requested. Assist with in-service training programs upon request. Keep supplies in good order and perform daily sanitation of equipment. Arrives to work on time, regularly, and working as scheduled. Utilizes the electronic timekeeping system. Observe and practice confidentiality of resident information and privacy. Follow the facility dress code, including wearing a name tag at all times. Perform assigned duties according to service excellence standards and goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in New York State
  • Compassionate, team-oriented mindset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for helping others regain independence and confidence
  • Graduation from a physical therapy assistant approved program
  • New York State license to practice
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS credentials
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level
  • Arrives to work on time, regularly, and working as scheduled
  • Responsible for own transportation
  • Recognizes and follows the dress code of the facility including wearing name tag at all times
