Job Summary
Assist the PT in implementing treatment plans to help patients regain movement and manage pain. Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, gait training, and other interventions as directed. Educate patients and families about ongoing care and support for therapy continuation at home. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary under PT guidance. Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment, adhere to clinic protocols, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care. Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and preparing treatment areas. Stay updated with the latest developments in physical therapy to provide the best care possible.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and current license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of California
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, techniques, and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
- Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks
