Physical Therapist Assistant

Carry out treatment plans established by the physical therapist to help patients attain functional goals in an outpatient orthopedic clinical setting. Provide exceptional care while maintaining active state licensure through appropriate continuing education. Perform periodic written communication to physicians via progress notes and discharges after consulting with the supervising PT. Supervise rehabilitation technicians and manage daily paperwork including documentation of all treatment in patient charts. Develop positive relationships with physical therapists, physicians, and case managers to facilitate patient care. Participate in IBJI sponsored programs such as mentoring, clinical educator roles, and special interest groups focused on sports medicine and manual therapy. Maintain current CPR certification and demonstrate proper body mechanics for lifting and patient handling.
