Physical Therapist Assistant

Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfer training, and mobility restoration in patient homes. Observe and report patient response to treatment, progress, and safety issues to the supervising PT, while reinforcing patient and caregiver education as directed. Complete timely treatment documentation, progress notes, and visit records in the EMR system to support medical necessity and therapy continuity. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, participate in care conferences and discharge planning, and attend required in-services and competency reviews. Requires current state PTA licensure, one year of clinical experience preferred, and ability to travel to patient homes with exposure to variable environmental conditions.
