Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Instruct patients on functional activities like bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Observe treatment precautions, monitor patient responses, and report changes to licensed providers. Document interventions and services daily in patient charts. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans while assessing their understanding. Maintain a valid driver's license and CPR/BLS certification. Work full-time in home health and hospice settings across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
