Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises while observing and reporting changes in patient responses. Provide daily chart documentation of interventions and deliver education to patients and caregivers based on their learning preferences. Maintain valid licensure, CPR certification, and a driver's license for this full-time role in Wasco, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
