Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Observe patient responses, report changes to licensed providers, and document daily interventions and services. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans while assessing their understanding. Maintain accurate charts for acute care and outpatient settings. Requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver's license. Full-time position in Adventist Health's home health and hospice agencies across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
