Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises while observing and reporting changes in patient responses. Provide daily chart documentation of interventions and deliver patient education to caregivers based on individual learning styles. Mentor staff on technical skills and perform other assigned duties in home health and hospice settings across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
