Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise regimens. Instruct patients on functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance while observing treatment precautions and reporting patient response changes. Provide daily chart documentation of interventions and deliver education to patients and caregivers based on their learning preferences. Maintain a valid driver's license, hold current PTA licensure in the state of practice, and possess CPR or BLS certification. Work full-time in our home health and hospice agencies serving California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
