Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise regimens. Instruct patients on functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Document daily interventions and patient responses in charts while reporting changes to supervising staff. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans, incorporating their learning preferences. Maintain treatment precautions and observe patient responses closely. Requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver's license for this full-time role in Vancouver, WA.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
