Job Summary
Conduct physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises while observing treatment precautions and reporting patient response changes. Provide daily chart documentation of interventions and services, and educate patients and caregivers on learning preferences. Mentor staff on technical skills and perform other assigned duties. Requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver's license. Full-time role in Adventist Health home health and hospice agencies serving California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
