Job Summary
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques and common exercise techniques; guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance; observes treatment precautions and reports changes; maintains daily chart documentation; educates patients and caregivers and adapts to learning styles; may mentor and train staff on technical skills; requires vaccination compliance and E-Verify participation as part of Adventist Health policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' technical experience: Preferred
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting: Preferred
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older: Required
