Job Summary
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques and common exercise techniques; guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance; works under minimal supervision and may mentor and train staff on technical skills; documents interventions and education to patients and caregivers; requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS, and a valid driver's license with age 21+.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Two years' technical experience: Preferred
- Licenses/Certifications: Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and must be at least 21 years of age or older
