Job Summary
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including modalities, manual techniques and common exercise techniques. Instructs and guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities. Works under minimal supervision and may mentor and train staff on technical skills. Requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver's license; in-home health/hospice setting with adherence to vaccination policies and E-Verify.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- CPR or BLS certification from AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL) and age 21+
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent (preferred)
- Two years' technical experience (preferred)
- Experience in therapy in acute care/outpatient settings (preferred)
