Job Summary
Perform physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, utilizing modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Instruct patients on functional activities including bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance. Monitor patient responses to treatment, report changes to nursing and therapy staff, and provide daily chart documentation of interventions. Educate patients and caregivers on care plans while assessing their learning responses. Maintain a valid driver's license and CPR certification as required for this role in Oregon City.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
