Job Summary
Provides physical therapy treatments under the supervision of licensed physical therapists, including the use of modalities, manual techniques and common exercise techniques. Instructs and guides patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait and balance activities. Works under minimal supervision and may mentor and train staff on technical skills. Requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a valid driver’s license (21+). Must meet vaccination requirements; E-Verify participation and right-to-work notices are acknowledged during application. Educates patients and caregivers and documents interventions in the acute care/outpatient settings.
Required Qualifications
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- CPR or BLS certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License and must be at least 21 years of age or older
