Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Instruct patients on functional activities like bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance while observing treatment precautions and reporting changes in patient responses. Deliver daily chart documentation of interventions and educate patients and caregivers on their learning styles. Maintain a valid driver's license, hold PTA licensure in the state of practice, and possess CPR or BLS certification. Work in home health and hospice agencies across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, adhering to Adventist Health's vaccination requirements and E-Verify participation.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
