Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Job Summary
Provide physical therapy treatments under licensed physical therapist supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise protocols. Guide patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance exercises while observing treatment precautions and reporting patient response changes. Document daily interventions and services in patient charts, educate patients and caregivers on care plans, and mentor staff on technical skills. Maintain a valid driver's license and hold PTA licensure for all applicable states. Work in home health and hospice agencies across California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington, with an on-call rotation for acute care settings.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
