Physical Therapist Assistant (Home Health)

Job Summary
Perform physical therapy treatments under supervision, including modalities, manual techniques, and exercise guidance for bed mobility, transfers, and gait. Instruct patients and caregivers on functional activities while observing treatment precautions and reporting changes in patient responses. Provide daily chart documentation of interventions and offer patient education tailored to learning styles. Requires PTA licensure, CPR/BLS certification, valid driver's license, and high school education. Located in Sonora, CA, with Adventist Health's home health and hospice agencies serving California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington.
Required Qualifications
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in all applicable states of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Valid Driver's License (DL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- Experience in therapy in an acute care environment, acute therapy unit and/or out patient setting
